I am honored to have been selected as a 2022 AARP Purpose Prize Winner! It is a tremendous recognition of the innovative efforts I have been a part of after the age of 50. It is also an important platform to engage and elevate the critical discussion of aging, longevity, and work and relationships across the generations.
This is my invitation to you to join me in pursuing these timely themes. I will be sharing My Perspective, a monthly compilation of my reflections on the world we live in and the one we need to build. I will also be sharing compelling conversations with change-makers from many different spaces here on the website.

Join The Conversation with Allen C. Miller
Alan C. Miller is the founder and CEO of the News Literacy Project, the largest provider of news literacy education in the country. He was a reporter with the Los Angeles Times for 21 years, spending 19 of them in the paper’s Washington bureau before leaving in 2008 to establish NLP. He previously worked at The Times Union in Albany, New York, and The Record in Hackensack, New Jersey. Miller won more than a dozen national reporting honors, including the 2003 Pulitzer Prize for National Reporting. In 2020, Miller was named a Washingtonian of the Year by Washingtonian magazine. In 2021, he won the AARP Purpose Prize.
